4. China

Shanghai Government Scholarship


The Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship was established in 2006 with the aim of enhancing the development of international students' education in Shanghai and encouraging more and more outstanding international students and scholars to ECNU.

The Shanghai Government Scholarship is for international students applying for the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral program at East China Normal University. Applicants of the undergraduate program with HSK-3 level or above but without a qualified level can apply for a one-year pre-university program to study Chinese with the sponsorship of a full scholarship. If the applicant still cannot reach the qualified HSK level after the pre-university program, the applicant will graduate as a language student.

Scholarship Coverage

1) Type A (Full Scholarship)

Romanian Government Scholarships through the MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)


Every year, the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, awards a number of scholarships to citizens of non-EU countries. Only candidates with good results in education, respectively an average of the years of study, for the last graduated school, of at least 7 (seven) corresponding to the Romanian scoring system or the "Good" score, as the case may be, are eligible.

to finance the costs of accommodation in student residences, within the allocated subsidy granted from the budget of the Ministry of Education;

medical assistance in case of medical-surgical emergencies and diseases with endemic-epidemic potential, in accordance with the legislation in force;

local, land, sea and subway public transport, as well as internal car, rail and sea transport, under the same conditions offered to Romanian students, in accordance with the legal provisions.

Government of Ireland - International Education Scholarships 2023 (GOI-IES)


The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is pleased to issue the Call for Applications 2023 under the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships Program.
