Diary entries..... July 15 "Listening to Spirit" - July 19 "The Eagle" - July 25 "Dramas"

July 15, 2013
After going through ceremonial processes this weekend i start by evaluating the magical happenings that were experienced. Extreme love has filled my heart and my heart overflows with that of the Divine love energy that affects my entire surroundings.

Let’s start from the beginning……the ride home from the event was feeling like the earth was moving under my feet (not because i was in a car lol), felt discombobulated and was not of this dimension. Almost like my body was extremely bigger than normal. i ran into door jams, dropped my water cup on the ground, (like I thought I had a hold of it but obviously not because it ended up 3 feet in front of me) walking up the stairs.

One particular event that happened this day was being a part of three ladies who were spiritual pillars in support of transformation of each other and our transferor. In the spirit world we appeared in our spirit forms such as brilliant star beings with our light so elongated it resembled pillars.

My husband and i had to run an errand and on the way home we stopped by a cemetery where we have been known to take photos of graves and place them on a website called findagrave.com where loved ones from out of state/country can find their ancestry. Immediately upon arriving at the cemetery we hear bells, it was a carillon memorial for a fallen soldier with the last name of Anderson. Directly afterwards, the memorial started playing taps…..i was so connected to the spirit of this young man. This 3d world was shaken….the crows were in a tizzy hidden but only heard from the distance but their energy was that of disturbance. They were not happy about it at all. As i walk along i was drawn to the south where a beautiful deer jumped up and looked directly into my eyes, what seemed that time had stopped at that very moment….my heart swelled with love as we connected on a soul level. She jumped up, turned around, bucked and snorted….she turned looked into my eyes once more as if she was saying goodbye for now, then trotted off into the woods. On the lake was a blue heron, which i am deeply connected, i knew these moments were very special. Feeling so grateful for the experience i was lead to some memorials to take a few photos.

Being lead to certain memorials i can feel the energy of the spirits; sometimes they are loving and sometimes they are not. This was a loving energy and i felt welcomed.

Upon leaving we drive alongside the lake to get a final look at my friend the blue heron and we look down alongside the FJ and there were two raccoons. Again, the same experience of deep longing into each other’s soul spaces and exchanging of energy was magnificent.

It is getting dark so we press on but only a few feet…..there were three white ducks floating down stream. Of course we stopped to watch and we look down and a couple more raccoons were playing in the bushes. We decide to attempt to leave once more and a ground hog crosses our path from the west to the east. i just love the way they wottle when they walk.

We finally arrive at home and a deep heaviness comes over my overly hot temperature body…..immediately i  feel further processing of the energies of the weekend pressing on to integrate. The night seemed to pass like a blink of an eye.

Now waking up was a chore!!  It took all of my strength to try and pull myself out of bed. It was as though i could have slept for months!!

Today sensations of pulsing in my head, some sharp internal pains on the left lobe. Took a little nap during lunch and immediately fell into a deep slumber. i suppose the integration may take a few days.

Will keep you posted.
From my heart to yours,
Raven ~

July 19, 2013

This morning as i crossed the Miami River time seemed to stand still as a magnificent bald eagle flew in front of my path flying from the south to the north direction. The moment touched me so deeply tears welled up in my eyes ~ the experience of being in the presence of an eagle in his natural free form of flight was over whelming. Once I pulled myself together i immediately called my husband to share the experience.

i want to share with you a brief exploration of the Spirituality of the Eagle

Another Native American spiritual meaning of the eagle is;

The eagle is present across a range of beliefs or philosophies;

The Eagle represents spiritual protection, carries prayers, and brings strength, courage, wisdom, illumination of spirit, healing, creation, and a knowledge of magic. The eagle has an ability to see hidden spiritual truths, rising above the material to see the spiritual. The eagle has an ability to see the overall pattern, and the connection to spirit guides and teachers. The eagle represents great power and balance, dignity with grace, a connection with higher truths, intuition and a creative spirit grace achieved through knowledge and hard work.

The dictionary of scripture and myth, describes the eagle as;
~ A symbol of the holy spirit, which flies, as it were, through the mind (air) from the higher nature (heaven) to the lower nature (earth) and soars aloft to the self (sun).

In ancient Egypt and Babel the eagle was;

The symbol of the noon sun, which signified the Great Spirit.

A sermon written by T. Rhonda Williams explores the tradition within the English church of placing the bible on the outstretched wings of an eagle, and concludes;

In sacred symbolism the eagle stands for that power of rising above the earth, above the physical and the literal, into the heavens of rarefied faith, a mystic intuition, and a penetrating spiritual intuition.

Many native cultures accept, with some variances, that;

The message to the soul appeared through the higher side of the consciousness. It sped forth with a directness and sureness of aim that might be compared to the flight of an eagle, which is a symbol of the Holy Spirit descending. It took possession of the soul mightily, so that it had to express outwardly that which was communicated to it from within.

 To the Egyptians;

The eagle was the messenger to the gods and the sun, a symbol of eternal life.

To the Romans;

The eagle was the carrier of Jupiter's thunderbolts and a sign of power, which was adopted as a symbol of the Roman emperors, and was carried before the Empire's legions.

To the Greeks;

The eagle was the messenger to the Greek God Zeus, and Zeus took the form of an eagle when he carried his young lover Ganymede to Mt. Olympus.

 A more detailed meaning of the eagle to Native American cultures;

Eagle represents a state of grace that is reached through inner work, understanding and passing the initiation tests that result from reclaiming our personal power. Eagle Medicine is the Power of the Great Spirit. It is the spirit of tenacity. It is the gift of clear vision with which one can truly see the things one sees. It is the patience to wait for the appropriate moment. It is to live in balance with heaven and earth. Eagle reminds us of our connection with the Great Spirit. It tells us that the universe is giving us the opportunity to fly above our life's worldly levels, or above the shadow of past realities. Eagle teaches us to look above in order to touch Grandfather Sun with our heart, to love the Shadow as much as the Light. Eagle asks us to grant ourselves permission to be free in order to reach the joy that our heart desires.

The eagle is the brother who flies highest and closest to the Creator. His vision, wisdom and courage are gifts that we each possess.

There are very many Native American references to the spirituality of the eagle which Wambdi Wicasa summarises well;

The Eagle has long been the symbol of honor, bravery, love, friendship and mystical powers for the Indian Nations. The Eagle gives visible form to Wakinyan (He who speaks Mystery), the Being who moves between man and Wakantanka. Wakinyan shows up in endless variations of eagle-likeness in Indian design from the southern tip of South America to the North Pole area. Each Tribal group has its own stories and legends concerning the Eagle and Wakinyan (Thunderer, Thunderbird). It has to be more than mere coincidence that many of these stories are identical in tribes widely separated in both Americas.

Another Native American reference to the Eagle being the messenger of God is…

We communicate with the Creator by listening to the spiritual voice of the eagle. The eagle has many important teachings. Through eagle the knowledge of the Creator is channeled to the people.

The eagle also features in Native American Blessings….

May you have the strength
Of eagles' wings,
The faith and courage to
Fly to new heights,
And the wisdom
Of the universe
To carry you there.

The Eagle Dance

The Eagle Dance is done by a warrior in full Eagle Wing regalia who depicts the grace and beauty of the majestic Eagle in Flight.

As the prayers of our drums
invoked us into sacred space
another circle
faint at first
emerged from the ethers
around our own.
Figures soon became visible.
Women and men, young and old.
Faces of brown, red, yellow and white,
Feather headress, carved staff,
white robe, wooden mask.
We recognized
through inner sight or sense
the familiar essence
of our guides and teachers,
those who walk with us in spirit.
From this outer circle
came a native man
dressed in white buckskin.
His arms were the wings of an eagle;
the golden eyes and curved beak
resting over his crown and third eye.
They began, eagle and man, to dance
the eagle's dance
to each drummer in turn.
"Summoned by your soul's call
we have come to dance you awake,"
the man would say
in a direct, yet humble way.
With those words
the essence of his spirit
and that of the great winged one
entered into our beings
borne through the ecstasy
of their dance and our pulsing rhythms.
And in those sanative moments,
this we knew:
that our spirits joined not only
with the man and bird
and those in the outer circle
but also with the earth and heavens;
and seeped deeper still
into the web of all our relations --
with the Great Spirit in all things,
and we became One.
And in that world among the worlds
secrets of an inner universe
were made known to us.
And so it was,
as it always has been
and always will be
that Spirit comes to awaken us
soaring upon the wings of rhythm
encircling our forgetfulness
with the rapture of being alive
in the temples of our bodies
at the altars of our souls
in the bosom of Mother Earth
here and now.

  The eagle is a prominent spiritual link between heaven and earth within many traditional European pre-Christian belief systems as well;

The Welsh Lleu and the Scandinavian Oðin both transform into an eagle. Lleu does not die, but is transformed into an eagle reaches the otherworld in the shape of an eagle. Oðin, seeks protection and knowledge as an eagle.

To the Germanic people the eagle was representative of Wodan, the ruler of the gods, and came to symbolize the German Kaisers.

The Rig Veda describes how the god Indra;

Riding on an eagle, stole the drink of immortality from heaven.

The Bible carries references to the eagle as the messenger of God, and as a link between heaven on earth. Two examples are;

…….I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Exodus 19:4

…. but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

The Legend of Eagle Spirit
            Eagle Spirit is the soul who travelled to the Creator's world, to ask the Creator for the ability to guide all who would follow back to the Creator's world. The Creator agreed to this request. The one who had travelled to the Creator's world would need the spirit of the eagle to complete this task.

Thus the eagle became honored, as a mark of respect for the one it was foretold would venture to the world of the Creator and return with the truth.

Eagle Spirit has travelled to the world of the Creator, and was ready to complete this task a long time ago, but it was not time. Eagle Spirit understood that it would not be time to reveal The Truth Of Reality until all souls had lost their way and had begun searching for their way again. This has now occurred. Many souls are again looking for their way. Those who seek the truth are within all cultures and across all beliefs, and it is time to show the way. The truth of Eagle Spirit may have been lost and altered by many, but the truth of Eagle Spirit has been retained by many.

Eagle Spirit has now come Full Circle to fulfil the legend of Eagle Spirit. The one who will show the way back to the world of the Creator. The world of the Creator is heaven. The Creator is God.

i find that sometimes we are pulled down into the dramas of normality of this 3D world. Though preferably prefer to live above all this sometimes it is inevitable to avoid. With that said these are my thoughts for the day:

"Essentially, i am to acknowledge the uncertain feelings today and be still, careful not to get lost in the energy and to keep my head/cool. Even though the uncertainties have arisen once again tells me that i am truly not certain of the direction that I am being lead, however on the other hand this may be exactly what i need to direct me correctly. Open to experience what comes one moment at a time with a clear head and confidence that the choices being made are that of great opportunity and greatness and that i will succeed on my endeavors of this life’s purpose to be of greatness."
